Safety
We
believe in ‘safety first, second and third’
and that is why we aim to educate pupils about
safety management as well as ensuring our activities are delivered
safely. We want to help pupils to stay safe for a lifetime, not just
the duration of their trip.
Adventure
Quest is part of Travel Class Ltd which is renowned for its advanced
safety and back up procedures, supporting thousands of pupils to
completing challenging activities throughout the UK. Highly qualified
and experienced professionals from the team have designed all
Adventure Quest safety policies and procedures and continue to
oversee all safety related issues. Balancing risk and adventure
to retain challenge but in a safe environment is what we're good at.
Leader training and selection.
We run a rigorous selection and training course for all Adventure
Quest staff. Our leaders are all Criminal Records Bureau checked, are
suitably trained and qualified for the activities they are
responsible for and are continually assessed by senior Adventure
Quest staff throughout their employment.
Ratios.
All Adventure Quest activities operate within
safe instructor to pupil ratios suitable for the activities
undertaken in compliance with the Travel Class Safety Policy and
approved by Travel Class Ltd's Technical Advisor in accordance with
the appropriate governing bodies. Teachers (one per group) are
expected to accompany the groups and provide pastoral care and manage
discipline issues.
Risk assessment.
Copies of our generic risk assessment and site specific risk
assessments will be sent to you.
First
aid. Each of our sites are equipped with First
Aid kits and all our leaders are First Aid trained, so help is always
available as soon as it’s needed.
Public
Liability Insurance. Adventure Quest is
fully insured under the comprehensive Travel Class Ltd Policy.

cover. 24 hour duty staff available at the
Buxton Centre as well as a fully equipped Operations Centre at the
